About the journey

I joined Cognitive Credit when we were just a team of five individuals, armed with an ambitious vision and a minimum viable product (MVP) developed through a combination of outsourced resources and the efforts of our technical co-founders.

From day one, I had the privilege of working closely with the CEO, collaborating to refine our vision, establish a professional brand identity, and shape our offering into an essential tool for the financial credit market.

Taking ownership of the visual product, I immersed myself in understanding our target audience. I conducted extensive research, including visiting hedge funds, to build comprehensive user personas that would guide our design and development efforts.

With a deep understanding of our users' needs and pain points, I dedicated three to four months as the sole UI engineer to rebuild our digital product from the ground up.

Through meticulous attention to detail and a user-centric approach, I crafted a professional and visually appealing platform that not only embodied our brand identity but also delivered an exceptional user experience.

Every aspect of the design was thoughtfully considered, from intuitive navigation to seamless integration of our cutting-edge credit risk assessment capabilities.

What I left

The result was a polished and sophisticated product that resonated with our target market, positioning Cognitive Credit as a leading player in the fintech credit market.

My contributions played an instrumental role in driving the company's exponential growth, culminating in the successful acquisition of over $6M in investment within three years of my first day.

During this remarkable journey, Cognitive Credit expanded from a tiny office in the heart of Belgravia to opening a second office in the United States, growing our team to an impressive count of over 30 talented individuals.

Our growth and expansion into new markets served as a resounding validation of the transformative impact our cutting-edge platform had on the financial credit industry.

By 2022, our hard work started paying off in a big way. We hit a significant milestone by reaching $1M in recurring revenue – a testament to the growing demand for our solution.

But what really blew us away was the fact that 90% of the biggest financial institutions worldwide had become our clients. We went from being a small startup to having our product trusted and used by some of the most prominent names in the industry.

These days, I get a real sense of pride and accomplishment when Cognitive Credit's product is presented as a case study to the bright, ambitious students at the London Business School (LBS) - one of the world's top 10 business schools.

To have our innovative approach highlighted and studied by the next generation of business leaders is incredibly humbling and gratifying.
